I hit the like button just so I can post and tell them what they're doing right and wrong.
And after the brutal censorship going on, they can keep their tin, chumps!
Maybe we'll get a checklist one day so we know what we can potentially pull from a tin?

Well I hope you join in on some of their latest blunders then Karine.
That said, I do hope one of you guys wins it and pulls something HUGE!

I will, when I think one is worth commenting on. I'm too busy checking out the awesome Roy and brody cards that came out to spend time and energy longing for a checklist which will eventually come out anyways.

Dude, really? Facepalm?
Again, stop quoting me as you like and read and judge EVERYTHING I Say, not the bits and pieces you like.
How about quoting the part where I said I hope one of you wins it and pulls something big?
You palmed yourself on that one. Take that as you will.

Do you honestly have to hijack EVERY thread on The Cup so you can pontificate on how you feel about Upper Deck?
I agree with you on a lot of things, Barrie. A LOT. I agree that people have the right to see a checklist sooner than UD provides it. I agree that, while UD does a lot of things well, it still needs to improve in several areas. I agree that CS has improved dramatically, and the simple fact is that you can't please everyone, so of COURSE people are occasionally going to have negative experiences.
I also appreciate that you take the time to call UD out on their misgivings, and I think it's a shame that more people don't do the same -- as you do, in a logical manner driven by facts and not passion alone. The simple fact is that UD fumbled this year's Cup. Will the quality of the product make up for that? It might, for some. Certainly not for others.
You've curried plenty of favor from many of us here at SCF. But honestly, man, you have to stop beating us over the head with your UD beefs. BARRIE HAS ISSUES WITH UD. WE GET IT. Even in this thread, which was intended to emphasize something positive UD is doing, you couldn't help but take a shot. The same shot we could read about in roughly a half-dozen other threads over the past few days.
Nobody's telling to you give up the good fight. You do this hobby a tremendous service. But enough already. We can think for ourselves. We don't need you cramming your opinions down our throats on a regular basis.

Dude when you're on the island, you do what you can to survive. I have always been the type of guy to grab his.....ahem.....and stand up to anything and anyone, go against the grain, be a leader, not a follower.
It's in my blood, it goes back to the days of people picking on the handicapped kid or "nerd" in grade school and catching a response from me.
I am one of the few that doesn't need to or FEEL the need to kiss UD's arse. I am also one of the few not afraid to take them on. They know that, they know who I am, and they continue to cower or run from me, delete my comments like they can make it all go away with the flick of a switch. They can;t and they won't. Trust me.
That all said, you're right, sometimes I push the envelope, and that's ok. Sometimes I cross the line a bit and I see how that is not as well received, so I apologize for that and anyone I offend, it is not my intention to do that maliciously.
I am glad you respect my comments because I do try and bring them in a constructive manner with solid facts to back the statements up.
Fair enough, I'll tone it down and I have the utmost respect not only for your feedback but also the manner you delivered it to me; logical and thoughtful, not insulting.
A rude comment will draw my ire everytime, no beuno.
Thank you and take care.Last edited by Prime B; 10-03-2010 at 07:05 PM.
