    TTM Question

    Hey all,

Is there a limit to how many cards one can send to a player? Like, would it be cheeky to send a few across?

Also, being from the UK, and needing to also send a stamped address envelope, what ways are there (if any) to get round this because as far as I know, you cannot buy other nations stamps in a different country.

    Please let me know :)

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Hey Dave

Like I said, don't send to many cards, as chances of receiving back a TTM get slimmer, if you send, say 4-5 cards. Some players sign all of them if they have time. Such as Shane O'Brien. I sent to O'Brien last year, and he signed all 5 cards!! I was extremely happy, but that is extremely rare for a player to sign all 5-6 of your cards, as they are really busy. I usually send 2 cards MAXIMUM nowadays.

As for the Canada to UK stamps, I can help ya out there.

Im not to sure how the whole process works, but Im sure I can figure it out ;)

    hey dave
in terms of quantity of items to send, i personally usually stick to 2 or 3 MAX...but, it all depends on the player...SCF has a GREAT resource in the ttmm...has all the major sports and most of the players...for any given player, it will give you the address to send to, the success/failure rate, and number of items sent/signed...some players will only sign 1, some will sign everything you send them - it really depends

as far as postage, look into something called an IRC - or, International Reply Coupon...you buy it at your local postal outlet, include it with your request, then the player would turn it into his local postal outlet for the proper postage...its not guaranteed to work, but it definitely increases your chances...or sometimes, just throw in a dollar or 2...ive heard of people doing that and it works fine...another thing you could do is find a nice member like andrew, who will buy the stamps for ya and send them your way (not for free of course, unless he's feeling REALLY generous lol)

anyways, good luck on your ttm's, its a fun and easy way to get autos :)\

I've bought stamps people in the US before. One was just for paypal and the other the guy sent me a card that would sell about the same as a couple bucks of stamps.
