Collecting printing plates?

I'm just wondering - For those who are player collectors, do you go after printing plates?

I'm personally not a fan of them, but with Enroth I'm trying to decide whether or not I should try chasing them. It seems silly that they're 1/1s when there are twenty of them, and I just don't really like their look.

So if you're collecting a certain player, do you make the effort to get these ones?

personally I dont go after the Ovechkin plates but thats because there is a few other Ovechkin collectors with deeper pockets than I have. I say go for them though.

I've never seen a Ranford Plate - but you can be sure I'd bid big on one if I did.

Been collecting Taylor Chorney this year...... and I am going after as many plates from The Cup as I can get..... but I won't be 'over paying' for any of them. Have one incoming for what I thought was a fair price, and already passed on two that I thought were too expensive.

rather than go after ALL of them, i pick and choose my battles. also have a few others but this one's the only one i've completed so far.

i was going to go after bozak's printing plate from his bd card but the listing ended abruptly. thought it would have been nice to add it to my current bozak bd's.

I'm trying to get one of each of Karlsson's press plates except for Black Diamond and Upper Deck which I would like all 4 from those 2 sets.

I am going after all Bozak printing plates, but the price I'm willing to spend will depend on how many of the set of four I have. For instance if I had all three for one card I would pay more for the last one.

I was going to but Giroux's non auto plates started going for $150, up to $250 for the auto'd. So I had to let quite a few go by, I ended up with 10 out of 64.

I pick them up as I see them. I've been scammed on two already though. 2007-08 SPA Yellow and Trilogy Black. I got my money back for the Trilogy, but never have seen anything else of either of them.
