Question on a Kobe Replacement - Input Wanted

Please let me know what you think. Panini would like to replace the first card #ed 8/10 with the second card #ed /24. Apparently there are several print runs of the second card, so this is not the same card I would be getting back, but it would be the same series. Both are on-card autos. Also the 2nd card books for 400, please let me know what you think they gave a BV on mine at. I will post it after I get some responses. Thanks.

that particular subset of the replacement sells pretty well, but i dont see how that would be fair to you. yours is /10 and is jersey numbered. any chance you can push back and ask them to throw in some sort of other auto /99 or higher? doesnt even have to be kobe. just another high end guy.

I personally care less about the BV on expensive items. The second auto sells $260 and $320 on the same series. I would think the second auto will not sell this high after since it has /24. I would keep asking for the first auto/patch. /10 is something more.

I like the second one more anyway its more unique in my opinion. Patch autos are always high end top class but there is something to be said for the unique qualities of a card as well.
There are a lot of Kobe patch autos out there.
Still I understand you are like me and dont have any.

    Why are they replacing?

The 2nd one tends to be popular, but it's pretty clear that isn't a fair trade... an /10 auto patch from a $93 tin that contains one pack, for an /24 auto without any game worn from a completely rubbish box...

Thanks for everyones input, I feel the same way, they told me my card (the first one) would book at $300.....but since it is his old jersey number, they bumped up the BV to 350 for me, how nice of them, right?

My feeling is that i don't understand how similar products (Timeless Treasures & Court Kings) can have cards so different, and they give the one WITHOUT the patch and numbered WAY lower the higher book value. I am going to call and see if they will put something else in with the Court Kings card, whether it is another decent card or a box of product. I will keep everyone posted on how it turns out.
