Can someone explain this to me?
was looking at shields pulled and this stuck out at me as a unique wonderful Bruins piece that i'd love to have had, but when i checked the price it said $9.99
http://cgi.ebay.com/PATRICE-BERGERON...item230a932233
does anyone have any idea why a shield would go for less than 10 dollars and theirs no sign of the card being pulled off?

the seller ended the auction early...probably got an email asking what he or she wanted for it and sold it privately..at least imo...that card would never go for $10.00 i am sure it would have got a number of bids..

This is exactly what I thought. Hypothetically speaking..... if a Ranford sheild card popped up on eBay, the first thing I would do is message the seller, as how much they're hoping to get, and then offer to buy it for that price off eBay.

Thye sold it to skirt the ebay fees. They negotiated a price and set the paypal balance under 'gift'

Ebay takes 9% of the sale price (up to $50) so it's not surprising this kind of thing happens.

^That's the big hint
I used to do the samething when I was looking at completed listings realizing it was auctions that ended early and not actually items that sold. I have since learned my lesson.
