Great combination of players to get, but to me they've cheapened all of the Shields because there are so many of them. Even with Brodeur, he's got two other shields with Parise and Luongo. Still a beautiful card, but I wouldn't shell out that kind of cash for it......but some Roy collectors are definitely a different breed.
I don't mind spending far too much money on this hobby, but that one seems too high IMO.

This is just another example of how far the market for even the rarest cards has fallen. This same card from 05-06 once sold for $10,000. Now it would be lucky to get $4000.

Blame UD and making these cards redundant.
When you've done Roy/Brodeur 4 or 5 times on a card like this, it tends to get a little less special, regardless of the magnitude of those two goalies.
Supply UP, price (demand) DOWN

Yeah but with the more cards like this UD makes, the more chances collectors can own them. Everything is not resell value.

UD had 3-4 Different high end products this year am I wrong? That kills the supply right there. Hopefully Panini brings a baseball sense into this and lowers their supply a little bit. UD ruined the hobby a little.

$5,500.00 for that? Lol
The ROI with that card will be nothing but a loss, probably a severe one.

He's still going to bring in a fair chunk of change for that card regardless of it being redundant or not. What other hockey product has cards selling in the 1-2 grand zone? I'd be happy to pull that card for a $400 investment.
