I will be busting this week when it gets here!

Been waiting for something different and it's finally going to happen.

    Word.

I am hoping to let my son bust a pack or two of every Panini product this year, we'll see what our budget is but that's the plan.

Picking up an 8 box case from the LCS on release day. Got a great price and with the hot boxes in each 8 box case figured it would worth a shot.

Make sure you post the break result and info if you got a hot box in it. That should be interesting to see. I only collect hockey, so I know pannini more for the stickers then anything else. I saw the other sports break and got a idea of the product but don't expect to buy much. Maybe one box just to try it.

I bought one box of Panini Rookies & Stars basketball and was very impressed. Here is what I got:

If I pulled a auto/patch /10, a dual patch of two top rookies with both multi colour patches /50, a rookie auto/manufactured team logo patch /449, and jersey card of a star player out of an Upper Deck hockey box that cost me around $130-$140 CDN (which is less than Trilogy or SPx or SPGU and also I overpaid a bit for the box) I would be thrilled. I don't even collect basketball and I was extremely happy with that break. No damaged cards and seems like I hit all the stated odd of 2 autos and 2 memorabilia cards per box. Resale wise I'd get more than half back easy which is better than I can say than about a lot of my Upper Deck breaks.

Anybody like the results from my basketball break? I think anyone would be happy if you busted a hockey box with similar results.

I'm still wondering why there ain't no buzz about Panini, the more i read on this board, the more i see people talking about Upper Deck's upcoming products over and over. In my opinion, it's such a great thing that UD finally have some liscensed competition ! 5 years of monopoly was enough !

I have busted some 2010 football from Panini and my breaks were as incredible as your basketball break.

Back in time i was a huge DLP fan and i busted tons of 2004-05 baseball, i have never been disappointed by them.

yea, that break was killer man, love the big patch auto there. Some guy already got his hands on some panini hockey, sold a lundqvist patch /5 for 77 bucks. Im probably gonna order my 2 boxes tonight when i get home, with 2 day air, should be here on friday. cant wait!

I completely agree. I think for Panini the buzz will grow once people bust the product and actually see what the cards look like in person and what value they get out of a Panini box vs out of an Upper Deck box.

That reminds me... While I was on vacation this summer I got the urge to bust some wax. Since I was in Austin, there was no hockey to speak of... so I picked up a couple of Panini Prestige football blasters. Gotta say, I liked the designs, the inserts were whats to be expected, and the auto was nice and clean (and of course in my last pack :P)
