As with all discussion forums at SCF, posts within the Panini Discussion Forum are expected to fall within the guidelines posted on the SCF Rules page.

Posting Guidelines. When posting a new topic, please select a title that best relates to the subject matter of your topic. If you are unsure, contact a moderator or the admin. Redundant topics are not allowed and are considered spam. When posting a new topic do not use the CAPS lock. It is hard to read and is considered yelling. When replying in an existing topic it is fine to use CAPS or bold to highlight main points.
* Any off-topic posts will be deleted or moved to an appropriate forum as per administrator & moderator discretion.
* Thread hijacking is strictly prohibited, please post your own discussion thread instead of using another member's.
* SCF Staff members reserve the right to close or delete any post or thread that may be deemed unacceptable or improper for this website.

In addition to the more general rules and guidelines, moderators will enact specific guidelines for this forum which are to be taken as an extension of the general rules as they apply within this forum.

First and foremost, we expect our members to be considerate and respectful. SCF is the best online trading and sports discussion community in the hobby, let's show the good people of Panini how we earned that reputation. They are taking time out of their schedule to share information and discuss their products with us, so we do expect a measure of common courtesy.

Any threads/comments that are considered to be hijacking or trolling by the staff will be removed and possible warnings/infractions will result.
Thread hijacking and trolling are defined in the Rules page as:
*Hijacking a thread is considered taking over a thread that you did not originally create and posting something that has nothing to do with its actual subject matter.
*Trolling is considered making comments in someone's thread in provocation to create emotional distress towards other people or picking a fight.

If you have a specific private issue with Panini and its products, such as a redemption/quality control issue, this is NOT the forum to publicly call them out. This is a private matter between you and the manufacturer, and just as we do not allow members to call out other members on trade issues, nor will we allow members to use this forum to call out Panini. Contact their customer service, either by telephone or email, if you have a private matter to discuss with them.
As an example, suppose you break a box of Certified and there are damaged cards inside. What is acceptable, what is not acceptable?
Acceptable: stating that there is a quality control issue, asking for advice from members and/or Panini to remedy the problem, inquiring whether other members have had the same problem, thanking Panini for providing an acceptable resolution to an issue.
Unacceptable: taking a hostile tone towards the manufacturer, threatening to boycott the product/manufacturer, inciting other members to avoid the product, inciting a "pile-on" against the manufacturer, comparing the situation to how other manufacturers do their business, complaining about a perceived unsatisfactory resolution to a private matter.

There is a line between constructive and valid criticism of a product, and bashing the manufacturer based on your opinion. We at SCF are not going to edit your opinions or block legitimate critiques of an individual product. We respect your right to voice your opinions, and we encourage you to make suggestions to Panini in areas where you feel that they can improve. That said, we do reserve the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.

The other companies - we understand that there will inevitably be comparisons between Panini's products and those made by Upper Deck and/or In The Game. That said, this is intended to be a Panini-specific forum, so please keep comments to a minimum regarding the other manufacturers unless they are relevant to a discussion about the hobby. Please, do not denigrate the other companies in any praise of Panini, and do not put the other companies on a pedestal if you are providing a critique of a Panini product.

This forum is intended to give you, our valued SCF membership, access to discuss directly with Panini and your fellow hobbyists all things to do with Panini's new involvement with producing hockey cards. Have fun, be respectful, and enjoy yourselves.
