Has this patch been doctored?
Hi all,
Just received a card in the mail from an eBay seller and I'm mildly concerned that the patch might have been doctored. There's a noticable crease at the corner of the patch window and the foil looks a little rough around the edges. Maybe I'm overreacting though -- I've never seen a doctored patch up close.
Any thoughts on whether this looks doctored or not? I've highlighted the areas of the most concern. Thanks for your help!

I don't see why if they were gonna mess with it, they'd put that in. I think it's real.

I'm not an expert, but I know I have cards - directly from packs - where the area around the patch or jersey is rough and sometimes creased.

Same here. Usually fake patches are more attractive and eye-popping (like being from the logo).

I don't know that the foil is necessarily indicative of a fake patch, but I've seen a lot of the Wilson SPX Spectrum patches and I've never seen one with three colors, even a hint of a third one. Could just be that your is a particularly nice one, though.

Its real for sure. If it was a fake, especially for a preds or hawks patch, there would be something truly ridiculous. I agree with JeffthePug, those are stress marks. It could have been cause by the pack being mishandled, or being put in a toploader that was too small for the card. Either way, you can always send it to UD for a replacement (may take months/years) or if the ebay seller did not describe it in the listing, ask for a refund.

yes, I agree with everyone else. If it were to be a fake, they would have probably put in a patch from the actual preds logo.
Its pretty low numbered, so I would expect a multi coloured patch anyways :)
