Question How to find VHTF cards?

I've been looking for a specific low serial #d card for like 5 years. (It's the #1 want in my sig.)

I want to know if there are other ways to find it besides the ones I've been trying. Here's the ways I know:
    1. Search on ebay.
    2. Do a 'search notification' on ebay.
    3. Post here on the 'high end trading'.

Anyone have any luck finding high end cards any other way? Like:
    1. Posting a buy order on naxcom???
    2. Any luck on Beckett boards???
    3. Anything else???

    Thanks for any advice.

Basically those are the only ways.

That's why "rare" cards from several years ago can go for 5 times the book value because they only show up every couple of years and people will pay a premium to get something they have been searching years to find.

Right. People grab them up when they're released and, unless they liquidate their collection, you don't see the cards again.

You could always try Google too, I guess.

It can be totally upto chance.

Ive been collecting Marion for alittle over a month. I got a die cut jersey #/13 which i thought was amazing. Then i get another one of them offered to me from a guy on here. Totally random, he just said do you want it. But Its really just Destiny! lol

Worst thing about ebay is when you find a rare card you think 'when will i see one of them again?' and it makes you bid like your Donald Trump, when really... your Pauly Shore on a bad day.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Yeah, I guess I'll just have to luck out & wait for someone to sell. At the time the set came out (2000), I didn't realize that was the best & only time to snatch up singles. I was a newbie back then.

FYI. I just saw ebay has a "Want It Now" feature. Not sure if everyone knows about this or how useful it is yet. I *think* it's a new feature, but I could be wrong.
