WERE SAVED, WERE SAVED... Well for a while at least
Mayan Calender is wrong
Be interesting to see if the stocks pick up and how many people are now mad because of their plans for this in 2012

My favorite part of the article:
"If the calendar doesn't end in December 2012, no one knows when it actually will - or if it has already."
Well, considering the Earth still exists, I guess it's a safe assumption that their calendar hasn't ended yet, right?

Actually, the Mayan calendar ends at some point, but that doesn't necessarily mean civilization or our planet will end. So one cannot accurately say the Mayan calendar is "wrong" especially since according to the article's sub-headline, "The conversion to the modern calendar means the much-hyped 2012 doomsday prediction may be way off".
The world isn't ending anytime soon...I've still got way too many cards to collect.

I love the article title: "End of the Earth Postponed"
Yeah, that doesn't work for me...let's go ahead and push back that "end of the world" thing a few more years. Not sure when will be a good date, I'll get back to you on that.
Anyone who placed any stock in this at all to begin with is...let's just say deficient.

Ive never been worried about this at all. The calender was bound to end at some point, the myans were prolly like, man ive done this for so long im tired of writing....then just leave it at 2012 someone will keep up with it. And thats where the route of the majority of Americans laziness began haha.

I got a good chuckle out of that one for sure.
What cracks me up is that there are people out in this world who have taken credit cards out and had no intentions of paying them back on the sole basis that the world will end in 2012. I wonder what they are thinking about now.

I never believed in this. After stuff like the turn of 2000, to 6/6/06, to WHATEVER. 12/22/12 didn't cut it.
After watching the movie "2010" w/ John Cusack, I just shook my head and said "No."
It's good that they finally confirmed all of it, though. It had some obvious flaws to the whole prediction...... IF it were the end of the world, you don't think people would be searching for safety alternatives by now?... 2010? The government would've started to hide people underground back in 2009, trying to find more places to attempt rescue... It's just so unreal to think about.
