Clearly you only looked at the stats and didn't watch the game. Hall was the best player on the ice for both teams. He created several opportunities in the offensive zone and was flying on the ice. Not to mention that he got Cogliano and Brule to step up their game after struggling since the season began. Numbers don't mean everything...you may think I'm being a homer, but I watched the game and that's what I, and everyone else, saw.

right... I did just and "only" look at the stats...
2nd star of a game in a losing effort at home... no points, 2 shots on goal, and a -1
and hes 2nd star of the game...
His play might of been really good, I didn't see the game, but stats are stats and if you lose at home, don't score only jacked up 2 shots, and you were a -1...
it couldn't of been that great...
clearly edmonton press is trying to get him motivated or the fans hyped up, because of his slow start...
I'm sure he'll be a great player, but it's quite evident they are giving charity votes to him lol

The -1 was on an empty net goal, so it's not like that's a big factor in the way he played. 2 shots on goal, 11 shots directed towards to net. The puck followed him the entire night and he had a huge presence in the game. Like I said, numbers don't tell the whole story.
Hall doesn't need others to motivate him, he already has more drive and passion on the ice than most of the team. I'm not worried about him, and neither are most oilers fans. Fans have watched him play 5 games now, and he hasn't had a bad game. We have all seen what he's capable of, and once he scores that first goal, they will likely come in bunches. No way is him being second star "charity", because he deserves it and he belongs in the NHL.
