Kessel v. Seguin Tonight
http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=338978
Phil Kessel and Tyler Seguin will meet on the ice for the first time on Thursday when the Toronto Maple Leafs visit the Boston Bruins.
Kessel was acquired from Boston in a trade that sent Toronto's first round pick (second overall) to the Bruins - a pick that would eventually become Seguin. The former Plymouth Whalers star was selected after the Edmonton Oilers chose Taylor Hall first overall last June.
Kessel is off to a strong start with seven goals and two assists in eight games. Seguin has one goal and two assists over his first six games in the NHL.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

Both have huge upside but kessel obviously has a 4 year head start. Seguin, Knight and whoever Boston chooses next year will eventually flesh out into great players. But that will probably be 2 to 4 years from now. The Leafs have needs now and I guess couldn't wait another 2 to 4 years. So far so good and as planned for both teams.
If we had Seguin now, he would have no wingers. Kessel is that winger right now but he has no centre (altough I like to think Bozak is doing alright and Kadri will eventually be able to take over).
Well, worst that can happen is Kessel chokes against Boston and Seguin is sent back to junior. As long as the Leafs don't have to play Boston 82 times a year.

As I understand it the Boston faithful were chanting "Thank You Kessel" after the goal.

Leafs didn't play all that bad, the Bruins are just to good defensively. That and Tim Thomas seems to have a horse shoe lodged somewhere. Boston has become my early favorite to come out of the East this year.

What u mean falling on top of him after 1 second of wrestling? And then getting a 10 min misconduct for throwing punches while he was on the ground. Horton sure is a tuff guy.....
What a joke.

That was more of a womens mud wrestling match then a man handling.
Dion threw one as he hit the ice, Horton looked like a 6 year old having a temper tantrum when he was on top of him. Thats why he got the misconduct.Last edited by BeeZeR; 10-29-2010 at 02:03 PM.
