Best Team Ever
who do you consider the best team ever. the 1927 yankees, the 1970 orioles?
do you base your opinion on player stats, team stats, individual players, or something else.
I would have to go with the 1976 reds, just a meager .630 at 102 and 60 on the season, and 10 games up. they would go on to be the first team to ever have a perfect post season.
then you add the players, johnny bench, joe morgan, tony perez, pete rose, george foster, griffey sr, concepcion, geronimo, and sparky anderson, where can you go wrong?!
5 starters in the all-star game, morgan with season mvp, bench with wsmvp, rose with the clemente award and bench with the ruth award!!!!
ok, maybe i am a bit bias, but that is one heck of a team!!!

I think the 1998 Yankees. Look at all the Hall of Famers, All-Stars, huge name players, and legends on the 1927 Yankees and the 1976 Reds. The 1998 Yankees went 114-48 and steamrolled the Padres in the World Series with players like Boomer Wells, El Duque, Scott Brosius, Shane Spencer, Luis Sojo, etc...They also did this in the heart of the steroid era. Some people might argue that the Yankees were on steroids too that year but look at the roster, how many of those players do you honestly think were on steroids?
