    ITG Superlative StickWork Question

    Hi all,

Just purchased the above and it's looking quite bent, is this normal due to the stick swatch on the card or have I duff?

Also, any tips on getting it straight(er) without damaging it?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you.

EDIT: Scans are up. Please let me know your opinions.

Until we can see it there is little we can comment on it. However my guess would be the combination of the stick material and the glue underneath, and maybe even the storage conditions, caused the card to curl a bit.

I have one of these in my collection that has a wooden stick piece and it has not even bent in the slightest.

I have several (at least four) 09-10 ITG Superlative Vol.2 Gilmour cards and these are bented same way. It's a quality problem.

I am not sure it is a quality problem. I have several game used cards (jerseys, patches, sticks) that have some degree of bend to them, some more than others from all manufacturers and all years. To me this is a common "problem" that results from the way the card is made and the memorabilia is affixed. The more glue used the more likely the card is bow a little, at thats what I have found.

I'd contact ITG's quality control bureau and see if they can fix it, that bend is brutal.

im assuming something like this decreases the value? I have a sick GU card of Luongo and Huselius jersey card from when they both played on the panthers together, and its numbered to 100, its from the young stars series. I've been wanting to trade it for a while because its a really nice and numbered card but I don't collect either player so i wanna trade it for something else. But i could never really figure out the value of a card like that...the bend is similar to the above picture, it might be a little bit better than that one
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!
