Don't you collect hockey? This is what I never understood, a hockey collector who won't sell to Canada. More collectors there than here.

Patrik,
I know what you mean, it is annoying. When that happens to me though and I really want the card, I find someone in the right country to buy it for me and send it on to me once they receive it. All you need is to find a fellow collector you trust to do that for you :)
There's always a way to get around problems like that :)

Tracking is huge man. Even if the guy gets the card what is to stop from saying he never did and file a paypal claim and get his money back keep the card. To me it just isn't worth the risk.
I wouldn't mind shipping if they wanted to pay for me to send registered mail ... but to canada that is $13 on top of shipping cost which is insane on a low end card. Personally I rather not sell a card and make a few bucks then deal with the hassle and the risk that it escalated to ebay suspending me or banning me.
As far as losing customers ... I would rather lose some bidders then lose my Ebay account for being a "bad" seller when indeed I am not a bad seller. Plus I don't sell a ton of hockey so I don't really think I am missing out on a ton of customers.
Truth is the world is an ugly untrustworthy place. It isnt paranoia as much as reality.

I am also leery of people with low feedback and shipping abroad. I charged Registered Shipping if a card ends over $50.
Cards like this sick Lidstrom:

I will say, most of the time - if you contact an american seller that doesn't ship outside the country (at least they don't list that way) they probably are willing to.
I know I've done it several times. I've got great feedback on eBay (600+ with no negatives) so I'm sure that has something to do with sellers laxing their rules a little bit.
For lower end cards (something I'm paying a couple of bucks for) it doesn't make a whole lot of sense.... but if there's something I REALLY want, and the shipping is going to cast $15 - well, I just factor that into my bid price / offer price.
If you're willing (for example) to pay $40 for a card, and pay $3 to ship it - what's the problem paying $15 for shipping, if you get that card for $28? I know this simplifies it.... but with some of the Cup stuff I've been after, that kinda math has come into play.
And getting multiples from the same seller works nice too. If you're getting dinged for $15 shipping fees, why not buy a few cards off the one seller? Obviously this means they've got several you want - but it does happen, and spreads the shipping cost per card down a lot.
