Really Need Feedback With This Ebay/Paypal Problem
I sold a card back on October 12th. I never heard back from the winning bidder after about a week after the card sold. I sent him a few emails, and way ready to relist the card, then he paid out of the blue a few days after. The buyer had 19 positive feedback (100%). Once he paid, I logged into Paypal, to see that the funds have been "Temporary on Hold". To top it all off, the buyer isn't registered on Ebay anymore. Now I have this Paypal claim since Oct.21 and is still at the same spot : Being Reviewed By Paypal.
Now what do I do? Wait it out? Since the buyer isn't on Ebay anymore and the funds are on hold. Maybe he got a hold of someones Paypal? I just want to relist the card and get over with this mess. Im not sure what Paypal can do. Are they going to refund the money? I don't know how much longer I can wait.
I am really curious of what you guys have to say. Thanks

The lack of communication on his part along with the fact that he is no longer a member of ebay and his paypal funds are on hold would make me leary to sell to him. Personally I would just relist the item. If he complains just state that you tried contacting him and that his funds were on hold for a given amount of time. You shouldnt have to feel handcuffed due to his negligence.

I could just relist the item? Cause Paypal will either refund the money, or give the money to me, and I can always refund him/her the money. I just want to get this over with, I didn't think it would take this long.

You should be able to relist it, I know I have done that in the past when buyers decided they no longer wanted the item. If the account is still on hold then it must be getting investigated so I would definitely take my business elsewhere if I was you. Hope your card sells again!

How long do you think it will take for Paypal to investigate this? Could I just relist it right now? And if the funds go through, just refund him?

It can take a loooooooooong time. I bought something for a family member on ebay for xmas. The seller turned out to be a scammer, though he had around 70 positives and 0 negatives, scammed me and 30ish other people, and his ebay account was closed. I filed a paypal claim a week after I bought the item, around december 18th. I didn't hear anything from paypal for 6 months. All of a sudden in the middle of june I got an email from paypal saying that the case had been closed in my favor and the $90 was back in my paypal account...

I'd relist. This doesn't sound like someone you'd want to have to worry about dealing with any longer than you have to.

My advise is to go through the Paypal Resolution center and choose the option to refund the money to the buyer and close the case first before you relist the card. Obviousy, this buyer filed a Item Not received case against you. You may leave comment in the resolution center and explain the situation. THis is for your benefit, because the buyer paid, it is your obligation to ship the card....and of course you are not going to ship it because of the buyer's ebay status is a uncertainty.
If you choose to re-list the card before the dispute is closed, you will put yourself in a situation where it would be your fault not to go through a commited transaction.Anyways, this probably wouldn't matter if the buyer is no longer a ebay user.
I am just curious as to why this buyer suddenly became unregistered since he has 100% feedback. Do you have the URL to your transaction?

i would just relist and send him a refund cause more than likely paypal will give him his money back since you haven't sent his item.
