Yikes, three months is going to be brutal for a team already heavily struggling in the offensive production.

And their flexibility to make a deal without shipping out any of their prized young prospects is virtually non-existent.

It's amazing how quickly a season can turn sour. Especially for a team facing such high expectations. I know it's been said before, but it bears repeating: This team badly mismanaged its cap situation. And in today's NHL, that's a recipe for disaster.

I created a new thread for this...let's keep it straight...I will precursor this one with the fact that the minute t turns into another Devils/Kovalchuk/Kings/Whining thread. Infractions will be issued by myself without warning..it's been beaten to death already in several threads, and enough is enough....and that goes for both sides of the arguement. There's 28 other teams and hundreds of other players to discuss...I think EVERYONE on the board is tired of these arguments

    Pierre-Luc Letourneau-Leblond - suspended 1 game

Jacob Josefson (detached ligament in his thumb, Oct 27, 3 games)
Zach Parise (torn meniscus, Oct 30, 2 games)
Brian Rolston (sports hernia, Oct. 9, 10 games)
Matt Corrente (broken left hand, Oct. 27, two games)
Mark Fraser (fractured right hand, Oct. 13, eight games)
Anton Volchenkov (stiff neck, Oct. 9, 10 games)
Bryce Salvador (concussion, 12 regular season/two preseason games)
Anssi Salmela (knee, 12 regular season/six preseason games)

Thats a lot of injuries......I know all of these guys mean a lot to the team but I think Roslton & Volchenkov (Parise offense is a given) will be missed the most as they are what New Jersey tradition is all about - Defense!!!!! A shot blocker and a defensive forward is what New Jersey needs right now more than anything....

Brodeur's x-rays were negative, but geez...what's next? Lou gets strep throat and can't call other teams to ship out some of his contracts? Brutal...
