eBay question (related searches)
Question about related searches on eBay.
I know that they have nothing to do with actually being related to the first search - it just means that they are terms often searched for after searching for the first one you typed in.
Now, if someone is a real eBay junkie, they can change this themsevles. By searching for the same two key words in a row, often enough, they get the relation.
Now, this is pretty nice. I've got a list of 5 searches I do regularly. eBay had finally set them up as related to each other, and I could just do all my searching by keying in 'ranford' and then clicking the links on the top.
Well, now they're all gone???
I assume they remove the terms when people are no longer searching for them. (i.e. if I search for 'ranford' and 'chorney' one after the other often enough, they become related. If I stop... and nobody else is doing it... they will become unrelated).
But does clicking not count as searching? The activity on those searches hasn't gone down any since the keywords were linked (I can promise you that) but today all my related terms were gone.
