So here was his reply - tell me this doesn't sound fishy...
"Hi, Sorry I did not mean to cover it up, the one-snap case was just taped up so the card would be protected properly. I usually tape all my cards in one-snap cases like this.
I wish I could put up another proper scan but I won't be home until Sunday night to do so."

Funny. I asked the same thing, and he gave me the SAME answer, word for word. Yet still did not tell us the number.

yeah it's weird that he covered up the number, but I don't even understand how someone could fake one without screwing up the card?
The "fake" patch is actually different players crests? just he threw it on the card?
That Brassard one shown above^... that is fake for sure, (there's no orange in CBJ jerseys)
the carter one (post starter) does look somewhat legit I guess, but there's no number (tape), so I would say it's probably fake.
I don't see where they could go through all the trouble to put another patch in the card...
and they would mess the card up right? what do they put in there exactly? another players patch?

People, I realize that patch faking gets all of our bloods boiling, but let's keep the language in check, please.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

This dude is an expert in patch faking.
He knows how to fake it without damaging the card. You wont see any difference between a legit one and a fake one. (Except the quality of the patch)

I'm going to assume this guy just buys cheap jerseys off of the Chinese websites that sell cheap jerseys for about $30 a piece and cuts them up. He is probably making a killing off of this.

I'm almost afraid to ask this but I don't want any fakes in my collection. I also don't want to potentially trade a fake to a fellow member.
So here it goes..........
I collect only Blackhawks cards. Of course we all know how AWESOME the Hawks feather patches can be and I have quite a lot in my PC.
If anyone can look in "My Blackhawks" PC in my signature and DEFINITIVELY say that one is a fake......I want to know about it.
Thanks Brian.............
