Nets Claim 8th Spot...
The once streaking Cavs lost their 7th place stand to the 76ers and then the 8th place spot to the Nets and now aren't even in the playoffs...
What do you guys think about the Cavs not making it...

i think it is one of the biggest collapses i have EVER seen in baseball... just shows what i feel.. that lebron may not be the player and warrior everyone thinks he is IMO
i would say watch out for the Nets though... if the heat forget about shaq in the middle the nets could take a couple games and make it interesting

Great job by the Nets this year. With all the injuries and distractions they regrouped quite nicely and showed some heart. Jason Kidd did not let his displeasure with the direction of the team effect his play and the addition of Vince Carter rejuvinated a stalling career.
The Cavs on the other hand should be embarassed. I just heard on the radio that no other team who had been that many games over .500 at the 50 game mark failed to make the playoffs. Now they get that honor. Lebron is definitely a great player but they need more bodies around him.

Jordan didn't win a title his first seven seasons in the league, and he didn't come right out of high school, either.
I think Paul Silas had it right - he said that without LeBron, the Cavaliers just are not a good team. When Ira Newble and Jeff McInnis have to start numerous games, it's not good. They have possibly the worst backcourt in the entire league - no good passers, no outside shooting. LeBron has help in the middle with Ilgauskas and Gooden, but his backcourt belongs in the NBDL.
One man cannot do it alone. Just look at the difference it made for Tracy McGrady to go from last season's Tragic to the Rockets, especially after the Rockets added some good PLAYERS around him before the trade deadline. I watched them all the time on League Pass this year, and to say that there was a difference between the team McGrady had around him the first 20 games compared to the one with Mike James and David Wesley added would be a gross understatement.
