EBAY RIPOFF/Watch out for this clown
Man, what a streak I'm on...lol. My last few boxes from my hobby shop have been so awful, I got a box of autographics for $120, got crap, 2 tins of Signature edition b-ball, more crap. So I decide to get a cheap box on the "bay". So I get a box of 05 Fleer Tradition baseball hobby box, only $35 + $7 for shipping. I got it today, was pretty excited, 2 mem. or autos' per box, and not a bad price. Plus I haven't bought baseball in ages.
So, I open it up, and right away the box looks a bit odd, not a typical "hobby" box. Sure enough, the scumbag sent me a $9.99 retail box.
( with the price tag scribbled out)
Unreal folks, I mean are you kidding me. This guy is lucky to be all the way in florida or I'd go toss him a beatin'. I do usually buy from the same people, or at least people who are power sellers etc., but this guy had perfect feedback. What can you do right. I let him have it, I wonder if he'll even respond.
So I'll leave a link to show his detailed auction, it's funny in a sad way. I guess I didn't notice that he did say only 8 packs, but I just wasn't thinking. Still, it's a great con, what a piece of crap. Feel free to let him know what a scumbag he is.

i like how he mixed the hobby and retail info to form his "perfect" listing...what a joker- I never buy boxes or packs anywhere but in person- too easy to open boxes, pull the good stuff, slip crap packs back in and reseal (I know this cause it was done to me)

If the picture on the auction is indeed for a hobby box you may be able to get him for fraud? Not sure, but I would report it to ebay anyways.
Peace~

Technically it is fraud, he stated it is a "Hobby" box in the title, and also that you get 2 GU or autos in each box. He does state only 8 packs, however he is misrepresenting what the box is and what the box contains. Nowhere on the retail box does it say 2 GU or autos per box.
Irish - Did you pay with PAYPAL? If so, you can file a claim through them. I would also contact EBAY's Safe Harbor Team and file a fraud report. Hope this works out for you, good luck.

Well, I'm still awaiting a call or email from Paypal. I sent them a letter, as well as ebay, describing who I was etc. and the whole story. They have indicated it takes a few weeks, so it's still unresolved. They are in the process of deciding what to do.
I'm sure I'll get my money back, it's just a matter of time. This is very obvious fraud. Could you imagine if everyone listed a picture of something, and then sent something completely different??? I remember some people saying it is my fault??? OK, well no, it really isn't. By their theory (that I should have know by the number of packs) I could sell a box, put a picture of an unopened hobby box, fully describe it (contents, Game used/autos etc.) and then send a box already opened with all the good stuff taken out. Hey, I never stated it was an unopened box!! Gee, would that work?? Thats basically what he did to me, and you know that isn't legal.
Anyway, I'll update, I'm just a little bitter at this guy, and the donkeys who said it was partially my fault.
