Nice in-person experience
This past Sunday, we had a rare signing in Rochester, NY. Johnny Antonelli and Joe Altobelli signed a ball each for me...Both live here in town and for 5 bucks each it was a bargain!

The only problem with the signing it, they didn't limit the items, so all the eBay jerks showed up early and were getting 25 and 30 items signed. Those are the guys that alienate the athletes and kill the hobby, IMO.

If they were paying the $5 why not get as many as they wanted whether it was to sell or not? I would argue those guys are keeping the athletes around. If it weren't for those dealers, the athletes would have made far less money that afternoon. If it was a free signing I could see the point.
