The National Hockey League Nov. 10 said it is offering fans the ability to stream upwards of 40 out-of-market matches per week through the Sony PlayStation 3 console, Roku media player and just launched Boxee Box.

The subscription-based NHL GameCenter Live platform ($169) allows users to watch full-length and condensed replays of the games they missed (48 hours after they air, no blackouts), in addition to access to more than 500 classic NHL matches.

The PS3 application ($9.99) also provides fans with a full suite of stats, player profiles, standings and team schedules, all through a cutting-edge user interface.
