    David Backes Signs 5-Year Extension With St. Louis

    Forward David Backes will be a member of the St. Louis Blues for the foreseeable future. The club announced on Friday that the 26-year old signed a five-year extension. According to TSN Hockey Insider Bob McKenzie, the contract will have a yearly average of $4.5 million against the salary cap.
