International Shipping Question?
Hi,
Would like to post this thread here since I collect only Basketball. I may trade, buy and sell basketball cards internationally soon. My questions are:
What way you choose for international shipping? How much does it cost? (both highend and lowend)
Should I record video everytime I ship cards or open the highend cards' package? (to avoid problems as much as possible)
Thank you.

just know where your shipping first, sicne some places are worse to send than others and id avoid a few of them. also make sure your sending to a well trust worthy person

if you ship USPS first class international in a bubble mailer, it wont cost more then 4-5 bucks
sometimes around the 3-5 dollar ballpark area depending on how you ship. Keep it well protected and it should be fine.
USPS first class gives you a tracking number.
It doesn't matter if its highend or lowend, its by weight.

intl traders can have the same issues with US traders too....can both sides be trusted? As long as u do USPS first class, then you will have no issues and it wont cost that much either.

Wow, I never notice it is that cheap. I always heard people told me that it will cost around $15+ to ship internationally with tracking info (and usually for insurance on highend cards.)
How about insurance? I presume that service doesn't include insurance. I'm not sure how much it usually cost. It will not be fun if USPS lost my $500++ cards. (Not fun even on card below $100 or $50)Last edited by airnoname; 11-16-2010 at 03:24 AM.

I live in Shanghai and can tell you that guys in the US ship things to me safely for as little as $3 and some ship using registered which can run from $15-20.

I used to ship stuffs when I was in the states to all over the place using USPS for only $3-$4. However, for cards with value $100 and above, I used insurance and tracking number as well. I've shipped hundreds of cards and no problems thus far. Hope it helps :D

I just use regular first class for all international that's low end. Usually it's no big deal and I have not ran into any issues yet.
For Higher end items, I definitely would use registered and that would be more expensive.
I don't think you have to go as far as the video thing because as long as you have a tracking number showing that the item was sent and delivered you're covered by paypal.
