1998 Pinnacle Brands Bankruptcy Issues!!!!
Anyone know anything about these cards?
I recently got a Cal Ripken from this set, the card i was able to get was the 1998 Score Select Cal Ripken 5-Star Bonus mine is numbered 49/50.
The information i was able to gather (not much around) was these cards never made it to the production line, and when Pinnacle went out of business these cards were taken by the workers.
From there the workers either kept them or auctioned them off, these cards are very hard to come by and i was very lucky to come by one, which im very happy to of.
Outside of this can anyone lend what they know about this?
here is a link for other information as well

I wish i could send a picture but work blocks it, but if anyone would like to see it i have it and i could email you them, the card is in prestine condition.
I was considering getting it graded, but was afraid if beckett may keep it or not, i dont know much about how they would react to a card like this.

They can not keep your card. Maybe intervene in a stolen historical piece, t-206 Cobb,etc.. but this is your card. Pinnacle cards made it out in so many ways, from giving to the final bankruptcy fire sale and everything in between ;)
Hard to say if they would slab, I would call-inquire before spending a voucher & shipping costs.
As to the card itself, I have some links saved, I'll see if I can find them.
Try a search here, there was a ton of info. posted about that time, in depth postings.
Here's one that sold in an auction, congrats on acquiring a nice card for your collection..

very nice cards. Pinnacle and select products were always one of my favorites. I was pretty up on things in the 90's, but I have never seen these or heard the story behind them. nice find.
