As much as I'd like to see the guy succeed, or even play, I have to agree with you that there never really was a beginning.
He was dominant in college because of his size, so when he got to the NBA everyone shouldve known he wasn't going to be as dominant as he was in college. He wasnt anywhere near worth a #1 pick skill wise, because he basically had no skills at all. Not to mention, he was injury prone even in college. Poor scouting by the Blazers IMO.
I think it would've been a great thing for him to stay in college a year or two more, maybe that would've changed things.
Like I said, I hope he can turn it around and play, he's gotta actually play before he can be successful

I feel bad for the guy. It's one thing to be a flop on the court (i.e. Kwame Brown), but having injuries is another thing. Like not even having the chance.

Just over a month ago, I read he was saying that he'll come back and be an All-Star. I guess that's not gonna happen for quite a while.

If the Blazers don't keep him around (which I doubt they will) he will be picked up by someone when he gets healthy I'm sure. Seems like in the NBA, first rounders that don't live up to expectations or have injury problems get a few chances with a few teams before they are done completely, especially big men I would think.

I hope the Cavs sign him if Portland releases him, deeming if he hasn't retired. Then the Cavs would be title contenders as they now have another #1 pick.
