Carey Price, Zero to Hero in Montreal.
Jaroslav who?
It's not as if the fickle fans in Montreal have forgotten how much excitement Jaroslav Halak brought into their lives last spring, but that playoff run is history and Canadiens goalie Carey Price has done more than his job to silence his critics.
Price has been red-hot of late, allowing only three goals on the last 140 shots he has faced. Suffice it to say, he is a big reason why the Canadiens were in third place in the Eastern Conference heading into Thursday's game against Nashville.

It doesn't take much to change a person's mind.
During the Habs Inside Out Summit, all the talk the Friday night at Hurley's was about Price and Halak, and how it just doesn't matter now.
Everyone loves Price again.
Why people give up on players at young ages is beyond me. If you see talent in someone, it's pretty much he'll progress, stall, or fail. Price hit all three in one year and only his die hard fans stuck with him. Nothing wrong with that. But it sure did make for a long summer listening to all the Halakians (Halak Fans) complain about their favourite player being moved.
It was as if they didn't see it coming. All last winter I'd have friends over for games, and Halak would be playing. They'd laugh and make fun of Price on the bench, all the while I knew when the day comes who they'd (The Canadiens) would go with. Hey it's 50/50 chance that I was going to be right and when you break the two players down it was only logical that they went with Price. Youth, size, skill, and draft position. Not to mention one just had to look at the books and add up the numbers (salaries), it wasn't rocket science.
For some reason the Halakians just couldn't believe that a goalie who just helped take the Canadiens to the ECF could be traded. Well reality check people, The Great One was moved and he did far more than some little fella from Slovakia!
