I was disappointed that the 49ers did not trade down for additional picks in the 1st round and down...but I didn't expect anyone to bid for the #1 anyway. I liked OG/C Baas (2nd rd) and OT/OG Snyder (3rd rd), which would help offset the 50+ sacks given up by the 2004 O-line. Gore may be a steal if he recovers from his leg problems.

the vikes passed on williams which might come back to haunt them but williamson has the speed to stretch the feild with james at 18th as long as he stays healthy will be a force and there line found they're new starting guard with johnson in the second. since smith is out for the year and if bennett gets hurt like he's done in the past but robret smith was the same way then look what happened! it's a shame he retired in his prime. fason could be the steal of the draft. if that happens
go vikes

The Lions did alright. We have a lot of weapons now on offense and Joey Harrington won't have any excuses to doing bad anymore.

Packers did well, only becuase of Rogers... the draft was weak for them... I dont care if Nick Collins is looking good, the kid is too raw right now. They needed a few players to go in now, and the only one i can see starting next year is Poppinga, who was a very solid pick.

This is a pretty old thread, but....
I think the cardinals were very smart in the draft because they drafted two starters for both offense and defense. J.J Arrington was a very consistent running back at CAL and of course Antrel Rolle was one of the most dominant defensive players in college football last year. Both these rookies will start, if not play the whole season and they will be very consistent players in the years to come.
