Ok, I need some supplies. I know about soft sleeves and storage boxes, my question is with top loaders.

Should I get regular or thick? I really only want to buy 1 pack of them to start off with and don't know how well any game-used cards I may get would work in a holder of regular thickness. I know 2 cards with no sleeves don't want to come out, I had to use pliers to free up my only top loader (1995 Playoff Prime Cunningham and Pinnacle J.J. Stokes, so don't worry, nothing of value was harmed). If I go with the thick... will non game-used cards have a chance? I guess I could just use 3 sleeves or something.

I would just buy a pack of each kind but I'd like to keep it under $100 for a couple boxes and all needed supplies. Well, thanks for having a look. And reccomendations are accepted for decent 2001-2003 football boxes between $30-50 each (Order will be placed at http://charmcitycards.com).

The regular toploaders fit base cards snuggly.
The thick toploaders fit base cards nicely but if you move it quickly or drop it the card will easily slide out. These are good for the common game-used card.
The superthick toploaders don't hold base cards at all. These hold common game-used but easily slide out if moved quickly or dropped, but thicker game-used won't fit.
If you have thick game-used cards you'll have to get the 100pt+ ones.


I think of base cards as the thin cards... like Topps or Score. But there are some thick base cards that might not fit the regulars like Private Stock.

And by 'common game-used card' I mean the ones that arn't much thicker than base cards. Like 2 - 3 times as thick. The thicker ones are the troublesome ones.
