Damaged card received from White Envelopes

    Hi guys,

I have received my second card this month alone that has been damaged with creases on it, and both were shipped with a white envelope from ebay sellers. What actions can I take with the seller? Any past experiences and how did you guys solve the issue?

    Thanks

This has happened to me once before.

I contacted the seller, told him what happened. He asked for the card back - but gave me a full refund.

when a PWE is used..there really is only one solution...MURDER HIM!...just joking...seriously though, best steps are to attempt resolution by dealing with the seller first and if you get no satisfaction then open a case PROMPTLY and get some help from EBay in resolving the matter.

    good luck with your pursuit

ive had alot of frustration when i recieve cards in pwe. some cards i have recieved just fine in pwe, but it seems like jersey cards always get creases when shipped this way.

best thing to do is contact seller and see what he may offer.

I've had a few, but luckily they've been okay but noted in the sellers feedback that bubble mailers should be used to protect the card(s).

Honestly this problem has gotten way out oh hand. No one selling on eBay should ship with just a PWE. I would give him a negative or a neutral at best.

    i do it sometimes

I've had 1 card come back messed up in a PWE.

i don't do it that often, but at times I have.

Your saying just leave neutral or neg. regardless.

I don't agree with that. Try to work it out.

PWE are a slight risk to jersey cards.. the stiffness of the jersey card won't alone protect it. it's weak at the swatch area, so I use a dummy card or something to bolster it's strength.

    Work it out with him.

I give a full refund or a replacement if I'm the seller, and apologize.

That's all I can do as a seller. If I think they're being dishonest, I'll ask for it back, then give a refund.

PWE and they still charge $3 for delivery!?!?!?!

i hate that. be prepared to give negative feedback otherwise the seller will keep doing it, and somebody elese will get burned.

i got a spa patch auto baseball rookie card where there was a patch and a cut signature window. it was sent to me in a pwe and when i got it, there was a crack between the patch and cut sig window, as if the pressure of it couldn't take it. told the seller about and what they could do but all he did was blame my post office for it. Nice. Luckily only a $5 card. Left him a neutral, said seller ships in pwe and blames post office for damage in feedback and just called it the day, hoping future purchasers reads feedback. Buyer beware!

I only ship PWE when i'm trading a few base cards. I would never send a card with a value larger than $5 (or a rare low valued card i.e. /25) in a PWE. My Bobby Ryan Green Back Champs got crushed and a PWE and added a crease from corner to corner. The seller gave me a full refund and didn't ask for the card back. But it's useless to me since its that damaged.
