Pass or Fail: The third jersey for the Columbus Blue Jackets

    By Sean Leahy
The Columbus Blue Jackets' third jersey design was so heavily protected, it may have been one of the only alternate looks for a team that did not leak via the Internet like the Anaheim Ducks' "burnt pumpkin pie" look, which was mistakenly listed on online retailer FansEdge.com before being pulled.

During the first period intermission of their game against the New York Islanders tonight, the Blue Jackets unveiled their third jerseys at a local mall with the team on the road on Long Island.

    Fail. Another Pittsburgh knock off.

Panthers did the same thing with their third, and maybe Nashville too.

    Pass for me.

Simple. I like the colours and history behind it.

I'm okay with it - hoping it will grow on me. I want to see the team on the ice this Friday before making final judgment.

My favorite part isn't the jersey itself, it's the fact that they got rid of all of the red. Beyond the jersey, they are wearing blue pants and blue gloves with the jersey.

I also think the historical references are pretty cool. I like the collar and the civil war reference. I don't think you can just blindly say it's another jersey knockoff. It's got some very unique features.

I like the historical features but it screams St. Louis or Florida to me...........overall a fail.

    Pass! Nice cannon ball.
And kind of because the jersey is of Nash!

I honestly don't know how to feel about these at all. I look at that jersey and see a team that should be playing against the Charlestown Chiefs. Half of me loves it, half of me hates it.

The stripes at the bottom are too wide. Unless you are 6'5" you will look like a Fatty.

Beware of wide horizontal stripes on anything.
