very disgusted...
Last week, I found out that I won the Facebook contest on copart.com and that I would receive a 1:24 Edwards diecast. Well, I got my prize today and to say the least, I am VERY disgusted. Look for yourself in the attachment.
The car's front windshield is not secured to the car. And to make it worse, someone tried to glue the piece back on the car, ruining the decal on the windshield. Then they went and applied marker to the car where the decal should be!!! I know I shouldn't look a gift horsr in the mouth, but this is ridiculous!
I sent them an email and should get a reply in 3 days. But this is not what I should get in a prize PERIOD.

Tell me about it...Other than the public appearances I've done this year, it had been a big goose egg on the collection front. The only boxes I've gotten this year are a box of '09 WME and a box of '10 PPP. I got a few goodies here and there, but nothing worth posting.
With my wife out of work for the last 20 months and my job (barely) paying my bills, it has been a big pain in the butt for me. To say the least, I'm frustrated...I thought things would turn around for me this year, but it didn't. And to tell the truth, it doesn't look better for us until Angie is done from school and finds some work.
When I was getting the diecast, if I couldn't get it traded at the NASCAR store for a Jr. car, I would have it for A) a Carl signing next year...you can count on him for a Roush appearance in MI on one of the race weeks, or B) it gets shipped to The Great White North. Gee, I wonder who would get it?

UPDATE:
I did not get an answer from them about the car the first week I got it. I sent them another email last Monday...still no response. I will send them ANOTHER email again and will find the box (I kept it after finding out what was wrong) and call the prize people about my car. The least they could do is tell me I'm stuck with it.

UPDATE:
I got an email today from eprize (the guys who ran the copart contest). They are in the process of securing a replacement car for me. They apologized for the delay due to "a high volume of inquiries"...
It will take about 4-6 weeks for the car to come in...I will let you know when it arrives.
