    Ebay pack sales

So I decided to test my luck and get a pack of this years Artifacts from a seller on ebay. The seller said that it was a "hot pack" with a hit inside...also it was a RETAIL pack. When I got the pack in the mail, the hit was a Jack Johnson jersey card. Technically, the seller was right and I did get a "hit" from this pack. My question is, how did they know it was going to be a "hot pack" with a hit inside? I know that this topic has been covered already on here but just wanted to know what everyone else thought about it. Thanks for reading and the comments. Happy Trading!!!

they open the pack, insert whatever they claim to be in there (auto, jersey, rookie) and then seal it again using heat. Its basically pack searching and they put in low end cards so they can get rid of them and charge a higher fee because they know they are only selling lower end cards
Please check my inventory before my photobucket!!! It's more up to date!!!

Most lower end products don't even bother using decoys (I guess that blank piece of cardboard got too expensive) which is why you don't bother buying loose retail packs.

yeah pack searching goes on with jerseys but i think most people reseal them. What happens if that was a crosby patch? People that resell them im sure won't take that risk. And a lot of people claim they know a YG is in an UD pack, you can't pack search that lol

People open the pack, put a 'hit' inside and reseal it with a hot iron.

You will never hit any crosby or ovie with 'hot' packs.
Its not just about pack searching in this case...its more than that.

Buying packs of anything on eBay is like taking a match to your money to be honest.
