Eh, no biggie. The Wings are deep enough and Modano really hadn't been playing that well.

At least he will be able to return come March and the playoffs. At least his career isn't done or pulled a Farve lol

He should have just retired a Star. I have no idea why he's still playing. It's not like Bourque where he had never won a cup, I can respect that, but he should have just gone out gracefully instead of as a has-been.

He is still playing because he wants to win a cup in Detroit, of course. Why else?

He should have tried as a Star or left, is all I'm saying.

I understand your point about him retiring as a Star, but the fact he is from Detroit and coming to his hometown team for his final season and the fact they are a Cup contender this year makes it special for him. I totally respect your view but I think it's cool that he has a chance to win the Cup as a winged wheel.

Dallas forced him out, what do you want him to do if he still wants to play?

tough injury. I would have liked to see him end his career as a Star but that's the business

Dallas didn't want him. So he went back to his home-state Michigan. Detroit will use him to teach the young kids a thing or two, and then he will retire. Everyone is happy!
Except for you. :P
