1998 SP Authentic Fakes?
Hi Guys! So, I decided to open some packs of SP Authentics that I had saved and was kind of surprised/pissed when I found the following cards. Please see the attached pics and let me know if you think these are all fakes? Thanks

It looks like a printing error. All the gold is missing. Interesting.

Yep it's a printing error. To the right collector you might do pretty well on them if you listed them on eBay as such. I wouldn't be upset at all, especially since they're base cards.

On the Elway you can see a little bit of the gold print on the left corner fo the misprint. That's kind of cool. Didn't the Frank Thomas no-name 89 topps go for quite the price? Maybe these one's could go at a high price as well.

UD had some bad Quality Control back in 97-99. I remember opening boxes of 99 SP Authentic and they had nothing printed on the backs. In my Donruss Elite Extra Edition this year, almost every rookie or card with a serial number was missing the foil. YOu could see the impression where it was supposed to foiled over but there wasn't any. Just a printing defect.

Thanks guys! You made me feel a lot better about the situation. I think I'm going to list a few of these on ebay and see what happens. Thanks!

You might be in luck. Sell them on eBay as a double like that. Saying one is a Error, which technically it is...since it was a printing error.

They missed the foil stamper. Not fake... just a goof.
It happens pretty often.
