I use to be a real big Giambi collector and now with the steriods issue do you think his cards will ever go back up?

I think they will if he starts having good years again. You really don't hear much about his steroid use anymore.

like many analysts said... once the season starts no one cares about steroids... i dont see his cards making a huge gain but they will probably even out a little lower then they were before the allegations... although if he has a huge year they will go higher as with all players

He does have heart for coming out like he did. Everyone in New York still loves him. He should have a pretty decent year.

True, everyone here in NY loves him but he didn't actually 'come out' clean on the issue of steroid use. All he did was apologize but wouldn't say what he was apologizing for. Obviously, he was apologizing about the steroids but he couldn't directly state that fact without risking losing his contract with the Yankees. Unfortunately without the steroids he's falling apart. It's sad to see. Unless his stats recover, I don't see his card recovering either.

Holding Giambi cards right now is like hitching a ride on the Titanic.
