I'm in Minnesota, and I call it "soda", as do most people I know...I do hear (and occasionally say) "pop", but 98% of the time, it's "soda". And I don't drink it much at all...if I had to pick one though, either Diet Coke or Sprite Zero...something with no sugar in it...but, I have probably only had about a dozen total all year.

Finally! I guess there aren't many southerners around here. In the South, it's coke, no matter what brand it is.

I seem to recall someone saying he was getting a "Dr. Enuf coke" once back when I lived in eastern Tennessee.

Also, Gnat lies, or else he lives in a weird Minnesota town.

We call it brown fizzy water.

Actually, it's pop here in Michigan, but for some reason I've adapted to sometimes calling it soda. Depends on my mood. Coke is by far my favorite, but I do thoroughly enjoy Cranberry Splash Sierra Mist during the holidays.

And, it's sub. No one knows what a hoagie is in these parts.

We call it soda in CT but I don't drink it. Calling everything coke when I was in the South definitely caught me off guard though

    Coke
    Mt Dew Code Red

Would be cool for a poll on this to see the difference.
