Spring Training Signing Tutorial- How do I do it? First Time...

I know it'll be mobbed, but I have long arms (I'm 6'6") so I'm willing to risk it- who signs for them in ST? I'd LOVE a cliff lee...

My experiences with Lee and Halladay are pre-Phillies days, but both used to be great signers. I've seen plenty of people get Oswalt and Hamels, too. I don't know how they are during spring training, but I'm sure they all sign at times. If you've never been to spring training before the first time is a real learning experience. It is stuff you can't even be taught. You just have to experience it once and get a feel for what really goes on. You can get a lot of stuff, but it can be crazy.

I know when I was younger I always wished I could go because it sounds like graphing heaven, but when I first went 7 years ago I was shocked at how tough it was. I had better success during the regular season because I knew what I was doing during the regular season. After living in Florida for a year, experiencing a full spring, and hanging around the Twins facility almost all summer I think I finally know what I am doing to have a good spring with them this year.

Any other recommendations for TTM targets or procedure? Time is drawing close. I have my letters ready to go out to Cain and Heath Bell.

I did pretty good IP each of the last two years with the Phils. I sat in Section 120 for all three games I went to in 09 and 10, and got Stairs, Bruntlett, Condry, Moyer, Happ and Hamels in 09 and Hamels, Moyer, Victorino, Ruiz, Milt Thompson and Sam Perlozzo last year. You can get tons of Minor leaguers, and I heard you can get Halladay if you get him on the right day. Section 120 is great, because that is right where they come ont to the field.

Good luck with the Phillies and Yankees. Those places will be packed and tough to do. You will have a good time if you get to do the Rays. They are a little farther from Tampa, but a great signing bunch and they don't get all the tourists clogging the place up that the other clubs do. Doing games during the spring isn't as good as it sounds. The people that get tons of stuff signed at spring training are doing the workouts in February weeks before games even start.

I have heard that he signs via home address as well. I just can't find that.
