Spring Training Signing Tutorial- How do I do it? First Time...

Send them your love letters on Valentine's Day.

Seriously. Send Pitchers & Catchers & Coaches (maybe) around February 14th. Then, about a week or two later start sending the position players.

On a side note...I don't think it matters when you send. I sent right around when the players began reporting and I never saw a bunch of them, yet some people were getting successes from the same people when they had sent a bit later. It is 'hit or miss' as we should expect from this hobby.

Does anyone have experience with the Braves ST TTM? This will be my first year sending to Spring Training and was wondering how they are, and if there are any players that sign better during ST than the regular season. Any help would be appreciated.

Chipper Jones via ST is a must! You can see the photos he sends back later in the year in the photobook link in my sig. He will return your item, but send back a small photo!

Hey guys-
I am a new member on SCF but I have been lurking these threads for a while. This spring I will be attending a few spring training games at Surprise Stadium in Arizona. I will see the Royals, Rangers, Giants and Cubs play. Does anyone know how to 'graph in this stadium or the signing habits of these teams? Thank you in advance.

Be prepared for some big names that are not on the roster. I would never go to that type of event without an baseball in case you get a shot at one of the HOF in the organiztion! Rangers be on lookout for Nolan Ryan and Will Clark! Cubbies be on lookout for Allan Trammel and Greg Maddox! You never know when a former player may drop into camp.

Hey guys, does anyone have experience with Spring Training road games? I will be in Clearwater for the Phillies but Dunedin (the blue jays facility) is close and the Phillies will be playing there the week I am there- is it worth a shot? Do they sign more on the road in spring training where maybe it'll be less crowded.

The Jays roster is full of young guys so I'd imagine they might be more interested in signing. I'm staying in Clearwater for the Jays training.

Yea I think my plan is to do the following:

Go to a phils game in clearwater and get phils autos

go to a jays - phils game in dunedin and get phils autos

go to a jays game and get jays autos

Definitely interested in the jays too- I hear bautista is a good signer (even signs TTM), I'd love the former phil kyle drabek, brett lawrie, arrenciba, lind, snider, morrow etc etc etc.

Anybody good on these 2 teams, besides Crain since I'll wear my Crain jersey, I know they are 28 and 30 in the prospect ranking, White Sox @ Brewers. Also, who are some higher profile players that would sign TTM?
