I have tons of positive things to say about the US, unfortunately this messageboard is full of threads from members bashing Obama with nonsense. I am sorry if you see my defence of him as a negative. I still don't see what MY citizenship has to do with it though.Last edited by habsheaven; 12-09-2010 at 09:44 AM. Reason: added text

for shame!! Non-Americans knowing more about U.S. politics than a great percentage of Americans!! Blasphemy
Unfortunately, you are correct.
In most places voters are simply not informed and vote for people because their neighbor has a yard sign or for the person that promises them free stuff. Or people simply vote the party line.
I do find it funny that people are slamming Luke Scott with slurs because he is a professional athlete. Doesn't he have a right to an opinion? Also, why do people on the left find Tea Party activists so offensive?

This is a perfect quote for all those on the left.

Beat me to it. Virtually everyone who vents and rages on this board is from the left and often their position is uninformed.
As for Obama's BC, has an actual physical version of it been presented? I know that there are images of it all over the place but I have Photoshop too so I am not impressed. I have looked and looked but can't find any documentation of him actually presenting a notarized state issued BC. I have seen a BC from Kenya and a non-notarized copy of a BC that is supposed to be from Hawaii but that is as good as I have found.

You expect him to come to your home personally and show it to you? Why should he? Especially when even if he did, you'd still just say "Nuh-uh! I still don't believe you were born in America!" Ever consider that the reason he doesn't try to satisfy YOU is because YOU and your opinion don't matter to him, or the operation of the federal government in any part, in any way?
Do you think he would even have made it to the candidate stage if he hadn't produced this document for the people who needed to see it, and they hadn't been convinced of its authenticity? And with the dust cloud you people have been kicking up for the past three years, do you think it hasn't been double- and triple-checked by those people's superiors and their superiors' superiors? I think it reveals a shocking lack of confidence in the country you claim to love, if you think there are no measures whatsoever in place to keep foreign nationals from assuming high office. If you really believe the political system in this country is so hopelessly and thoroughly flawed, why are you so enthusiastically participating in it? To hear you talk, you'd think Kim Jong Il himself could be elected president, and no one would think twice about it until two years into his presidency.
If you don't like Obama's policies, that's perfectly understandable. I'm not on board with many of them myself. If you don't like his personality, that's also perfectly understandable. Both of those are perfectly legitimate reasons not to like a politician. But that's not what this birth certificate thing is all about, and we all know it. Why you would focus on this manufactured, illegitimate grievance when there are plenty of legitimate gripes with Obama's politics confuses me.Last edited by gatorboymike; 12-17-2010 at 04:25 PM.

Is that what I said? Thanks for once again taking an innocuous statement and turning it into some extreme accusation that has absolutely no basis or foundation whatsoever and then going over the top retaliating against a statement that I didn't even make.
Why is it that you are always accusing someone of saying something that they didn't say and then attacking them for it?

Hawaii gives anyone and everyone a birth certificate. They are not considered legal in any other state and recognized by the federal gov't.
Second, I agree whats the problem, just show us your true and legal binding certificate?
Well, by not showing it people will complain and sound like conspiracy NUTS so it may all be by design.
