Now thats respect
anyone else watch the balckhawks vs stars game tonight? I gained a lot of respect for Jake Dowell after his fight with steve ott... and im sure a lot of other people did as well.
for people that didnt see it... heres a short version of what happen. Dowell and Ott got in a fight. Ott got some nice shots in the beginning. Then ott tripped and Dowell had the back of his jersey, so Ott was just sitting there unprotected with Dowell holding him up. Dowell could have easily got plenty of punches right at otts head/face... but what did he do? Nothing. Just held him up until he could regain his balance and then continued the fight (which ended about 2 secs later lol).
as soon as the fight was over Ott gave Dowell a little tap to the head (im guessing saying thanks lol)
long story short... i gained a BUNCH of respect for dowell and i wish more people were like him today.Last edited by Nairb06; 12-09-2010 at 01:55 AM.

Now that is as classy as a fight gets. That's when you know you've got two MEN fighting and not two little boys taking cheap shots. Good stuff. Thanks for that video.

That's how hockey is supposed to be played... with class. Yeah it's a fight, but it's not a Sean Avery fight. Both men had tempers flare but in the end they both came out and had respect for each other. I was surprised with Ott with the tap on the head but it goes to show some people do have a sense of class. Well done by both.

Kyle Clifford already knows adheres to "the code".
Check this out, VERY impressive for a young 19 year old rookie.
