Subban Skating in Cement?
http://www.montrealgazette.com/sport...486/story.html
On a night when the Canadiens failed to show up against the rival Toronto Maple Leafs, coach Jacques Martin singled out Yannick Weber for praise while Subban appeared to be going through a crisis of confidence.
“I’m not going to beat myself up,” Subban said after the Canadiens dropped a 3-1 decision to the Maple Leafs.
But that’s exactly what the usually confident Subban did on a night when he was on the ice for all the Toronto goals.
“It’s been a tough two nights,” said Subban who returned to the lineup Friday night in Detroit after sitting out three games as a healthy scratch. “It’s been tough just to make a pass. I have to feel confident making that pass out of our zone. Right now, it’s just not happening.”
Subban said he wasn’t going to use his enforced absence as an excuse, but he did just that when he said he couldn’t expect to come back at the same level.
“It’s not an easy pill to swallow,” he said when asked about losing his spot in the lineup. “But I can’t beat myself up. It takes time. The game feels really fast, too fast. They’re going 100 miles an hour and it’s like my feet are in cement.”
Saturday was definitely a tough night for P.K. - the whole team, really. He's going to have little ups and downs, as any NHL rookie does trying to adjust from playing with boys to competing with men, and hopefully he'll emerge the better for it.
Habs fan and collector! Current PC's: Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Lane Hutson...., and of course...

I think PK is overrated and waaaaaaaaaaaay to cocky. Nice to see his ego take a big shot.

Maybe if he could score shootout goals as nice as Linus Omark he'd feel better about himself ;)
Seriously though..... he'll be fine, just going through a rough stretch. Doesn't help when they win three in a row with him out of the lineup, and have yet to win since he went back in.

I don't think the Habs have even been in a shootout yet this year. Couple OT games but that's it. Maybe that's the cure.
