AWESOME!!!!!!
Nice rebound for Quick considering he beat himself against the Wild (basically passed the puck to the Wild AND left them an open net - TWICE and losing 3-2 in OT)
Just a couple nice stats I want to throw out there...(even with their horrible 1-8-1 run)
15-5-1 #3 Overall in Wins
#2 in winning percentage with goalies who started more than 10 games
2 Shutouts
1.83 GAA #2 Overall
.933 Save % #4 Overall
Game's #1 Star - 10/10, 10/13, 10/15, 10/28, 11/04, 11/11, 12/09, 12/13
I know there are some netminders who are playing some insane hockey right now....but you got to put Quick in that mix.......if only the Kings could score more...they would be #1 in the NHL.....Quick keeps them in the game and a chance to win the game....

Wings can't win them all, especially when the opposing goalie will stop everything. I still think Kings/Wings for the WCF.

Boy, what a game. I had tickets, but the snow kept me from getting off campus...I guess I'm kind of happy I didn't go.

They showed a stat during the intermission that put a big warm smile on my face
Los Angeles - 65 degrees (and I thought it seemed chilly this evening)
Detroit - (-11) degrees...Then showed the snow outside the arena.....BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
HOLY SCHAMOLY!!!! You guys stay warm out there!!!!!

Yeah I got a good 6 inches in Lansing and the drive back would've taken like 4 hours with the traffic so I was a little disappointed.

We were in the -30s on the weekend.......no sympathy for balmy Detroit.
As for Quick, tonight was a great performance but I haven't been all that impressed over the past month. I'll give him credit, though, because I didn't think he'd stick as a starter at this level. I'm interested to see if he can keep it up, or if his numbers will level out to last year.

As long as we keep getting 50 shots I will always be happy. No goalie going to stop 50 every night. Kudo's to Quick for having a heck of a game.

As a Kings fan, I was glad we almost had a 40 game winner in Quick (He has the record for most games and most wins as a King now)....but not impressed with his stats - He gave up to many weak goals and his save % wasnt that impressive either...Thought for sure Bernier would take the #1 away this year......but Quick has stepped up to the plate and even with that November Slide....is still ranked top 4 in almost every catagory.....He held them in most of those games during that slide....Kings just couldnt score.....
True That Don - The odds will go in the favor of the team that shoots that many on any given night...just once in a while you get a goalie that finds a way to stop everything....happen to the Kings last year - I think against Columbus - 51 shots - zero goals...

I'm a huge Bernier fan and supporter, but at this point I don't think there's any question that Quick deserves the top spot. I keep waiting for him to open the door for Bernier, but that just hasn't happened.
On a side note, it's nice to see the Kings finally generate some offense because they have been painful to watch for the past few weeks. If they could get one more scorer, I think it could make a big difference in the spring.
