Just curious how many people have broadband or hi-speed. Go to www.speedtest.net and test you connections speed and see how you stack up.

    Mine:

    Upload - 20.95 Mb/s
    Ping - 10 ms

    ^ Whoa! That is fast.

I have a pretty good connection (above the ISP average according to the bar given) and got the following:

    Download - 7.10 Mb/s
    Upload - 0.55 Mb/s
    Ping - 35 ms

Mine's only 3mb download. But, I don't need any additional speed so it's fine for me.

This just goes to show you the difference between wireless and wired. I am on the same server today but I am wireless instead of wired.

    DL - 5.75 Mb/s
    UL - 12.29 Mb/s
    Ping - 5 ms

So because of wireless I lose 75% of my DL speed and nearly 50% of my UL speed.

Apparently it's only my download speed that's above-average...compared to you guys, my upload speed really sucks. Now that I think about it, it does take about five years to get videos up on Facebook or YouTube for me...

I noticed too that it changes throughout the day - my download speed drops to around 4 or 5 by evening whereas it's usually over 7 in the afternoon.
