I can't speak for the purchaser of the card, but I could never justify spending that much on a card. Not only that, but the #2 is only partially on the STICKER auto. However, when it comes to 1/1s, I guess beggars can't be choosers lol.

    1. Sticker Auto
    2. Auto was cut off.

No way I will pay like that but I'm not a big fan of John Wall.

Anyway, this is the first time I saw "sticker auto" sold over $2000. Not sure whether there are some NT cards sold over this price point before.

I think, a while back I saw MJ Hot prospects sticker auto 1/1 sold below $1000. Talking about this, I will not pay more than $1000 for sticker auto for sure, not even for MJ.

How can anyone justify spending $2,000 on a card anyways. I love the hobby, I love collecting of my favorite playes....but 2g's... I guess I may not be as wealthy as other's or have other bills that have to be taken care of first. But who can spend that on a card? Sure I have spent about $550 on a total of 36 Wall cards (none auto'd sadly), but there is quantiy there. Now, if I had pulled that card myself, I would be 50/50 on keeping or selling. 2 grand would pay off several bills for me and allow me to grow my collection in quantity very easily.

This should never be considered as a premium card, period.

It's louzy in many many ways...

Here's why this was a bad buy at this price:

There are much bigger Wall 1/1 patch autos coming in the near future. Timeless treasures and National Treasures will be loaded with Wall patch autos and I'm sure each will have a 1/1 variety with huge sick patches compared to the small one on this card. If I were in the market for a super high end Wall card, I would have stockpiled the cash until National or Timeless Treasures come out.

    That's just my $.02 though.

Horrible auto Panini chose to put on that card, I swear they do this purposefully and laugh at us collectors who give them our hard earned $$$ for their cheap & poorly designed crap they call "basketball cards". But yeah like someone else said, IF I had that kind of $$$ I'd be saving it up until one of Pa-crap-craps "higher end" products were to come out....

I never would have paid that but if the buyer really wanted the card and the bids got up that high then he did what he needed to in order to buy it. He could have bought 4-5 nice Jordan Autos for that price.
