    Anymore Slap Shot Autos planned?

    I'd love to read a response from Al on this one.... is Panini planning to include anymore Slap Shot Autographed cards in other sets this year?

    When the Michael Ontkean Fans of the Game auto was released (even as a redemption), it became one of the must-have cards of the year for me. With Steve Carlson & Dave Hanson now on the market as part of Limited, they'll be joining.

    I have to think that you're going to work Jeff Carlson into a set somewhere. Any chance we'll see Yvonne Barrette (Denis Lemieux), Jerry Houser (Killer), or Allan Nichols (Johnny Upton). Cut autos from Paul Newman, Strother Martin, or Brad Sullivan?

    Even some of the 'notable' players on other teams - Hanrahan (Chris Murney), McCracken (Paul D'Amato), or Olilthorpe (Ned Dowd)??

    Well, to be fair - they made up the Dave Hanson & Steve Carlson like all the other Rookie Cards. Despite it being years after their debut, these would be considered RCs of those two..... and they did play a few NHL games each.

    Jeff never made it into the NHL, so I can understand his omission in a set like this..... but have my fingers crossed that they'll be doing something with him later.

    Well since Ontankean (spelling?) was in donruss and the Hanson bros are in limited my guess is that we may see Newman cut(s) in National treasures assuming Panini elects to do a national treasures for hockey (fingers crossed)

    We do have a deal with Jeff...as someone noted, we just couldn't include him as a true RC as we could with the other two. He'll be in upcoming releases. We're also pursuing several other cast members and have acquired some fairly signficant memorabilia from the film. We'll announce plans as soon as we can!
