    Sabres centre Derek Roy to miss rest of season with torn left quadriceps

    BUFFALO, N.Y. - Buffalo Sabres leading scorer Derek Roy will miss the rest of the season after tearing his left quadriceps tendon.

    General manager Darcy Regier announced Friday the centre is expected to miss between four to six months, and will have surgery to repair the injury in the next couple of days.

    Connolly will always be the player traded for Peca after he would not sign... I believe there was an unrealistic expectation that he and Taylor Pyatt would become core guys....

    I always loved Peca and his two way game. He never got any hobby love imo for the total package he brought to the game from what I read and saw (very little of). A bad trade for sure as Peca was a big time core guy unlike the two you mentioned.
