    Is it really worth it?

I pulled this from a pack of series 1 10-11 yesterday

If you cant tell there is a huge crease going all the way through the card. My question is, is it really worth the trouble to contact upper deck and send it back for a replacement? How are they going to fix my problem? Will they compensate me for the trouble? If anyone can help me please post here or pm me as this is my first time trying to contact them

They will more than likely request that you send in the card and will issue a replacement if they have the card in stock. If it's worth it to you to make the call, get the case file #, type up the letter, and spend the $2 to ship it off to California, have at 'er.

Believe it or not I sent in a creased insert... Yah I did. And I recieved the same insert as well as a Matt Moulsen BAP Auto. So I was happy.

Tell them you want a better card. Let them know in no uncertain terms that you must be compensated for the following:

    Registered Mail

    Notary Fees

    Top Loader

    Soft Sleeve

    Handling and incidentals.

Whenever I send anything into Upper Deck, I follow this procedure. I also have sent in any Jersey Cards with a notarized letter, that really gets their attention. I also put cc: to My Lawyer and his firm name and address (even though I don't send him a copy)

The last Jersey that had a smashed corner was a 03-04 Lindros Jersey. It was a one colour. They did nothing for 8 weeks and it was June at the time.

I called twice during this time and finally got a hold of a Vice President. He came back on the line with my Notarized Letter cc: To My Lawyer, and he almost fainted.

Within 4 days I had a 2 Colour Lindros sent to me and a 03-04 Mario Lemieux SP Auth. Jersey #/125 for my grief.

I take UD to task when they mess up, and I am RELENTLESS

either that or get a local card shop working on it. I have my LCS working on my redemptions as well as a replacement for my dinged Artifact /15 Ovechkin patch as well as an expired redemption for a 05-06 Prime numbers vaclav prospel (My take is what is the incestive to buy older products if the redemption expires, sure I don't expect that card but a replacement card would be nice)

Great Idea getting the local boys to do your bidding. I'm sure UD bends over backwards for these guys if they have any volume.

I'm in a place where nobody buys much Hockey, so I have to go it alone.

well I opened the pack at my LCS and the guy there didnt care much that I pulled a damaged card....centrehice your first first idea seems good but sounds like a lot of work over just a 1 or 2 dollar jersey....

    Well, the Notary was free.
The registered mail, UD always compensates for (people don't know this)
The cc: to my Lawyer (was bogus)

I sold a $1.00 (on eBay) damaged jersey of Lindros into a 2 colour Lindros $6.00 sale, and then I also sold the Mario for $40.00 and a rookie card.

    I think I did well.

I came out of the deal with about $43.00 in pocket, and a low end Gaborik Rookie.

Waste of time. Throw the 2 dollar jersey in a plain white envelope and send it off.
